The earliest known Scott among my ancestors is James Scott (I've always liked the name). James was born in the early 1700s in Northern Ireland. Although no one has conclusively traced his line back much further, we do know that he was a Scotch Presbyterian....

While many of my early conclusions turned out to be incorrect, this document was the first major attempt to systematically record the contact between American Mormons and those in Russia known by the same name.
