Jacob and Sarah Warnock Scott Family (1779-1910)

June 23rd, 2006

If ever there was a family that experienced the great New World epic of migration, nation-building, and religious pioneering, it was the Jacob and Sarah Scott family. From a modest town in Northern Ireland, their little band eventually travelled over much of Canada and the United States, changing with the times and making great history along the way. One of the most enjoyable projects I have ever undertaken was to write a history of this family and the experiences they had while colonizing the American frontier.

The attached Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file contains a wealth of original documents, stories, and biographical information on this amazing family. I hope you'll take the time to read some of it, especially if you are a descendant of these intrepid pioneers.

I had heard of some of the information you have, but I have never really read it.

Thanks, I will probably use it in my cub pack.
